Farewell Mrs. Takacs!

Farewell, Mrs. Sue Takacs

Written by: 6thgrade journalist Karyn Tang

After serving for 22 years as a teacher, Mrs. Takacs is retiring.  She spent 11 years teaching at Meadows and 11 years with us here at Franklin.  Our school is very honored to have had Mrs. Takacs as a teacher and we wish her a happy and peaceful retirement. We will miss her a lot and remember our experiences. Students who have had her in the past years are very lucky and will remember her wisdom for years to come. We all will hold the memories in our hearts. Nathan Sayer in Mrs. Boram's class says,” Mrs. Takacs is very inspiring.” His memory of her is when he once told Mrs. Takacs he couldn't do his homework, and he can't remember exactly what she said to inspire him, but he remembers that he ended up doing his homework that night. Mrs. Takacs is always supportive and positive, looking at the bright side. She's very patient, caring, and does whatever it takes to help a student. Ms. My Le says, “Not only is Mrs. Takacs an amazing teacher, but she is also a wonderful friend and kind person.” She is always encouraging and pushes her students to do their best. Her cheerfulness and smile is contagious. As Dulce Yanez from Mrs. Boram's class says, “No one can replace Mrs. Takacs.” She's very kind, nice, and all around awesome. Students and teachers will miss her company and fun personality. Hieu Pham in 6thgrade from Mrs. Boram's class says,” I always liked her hugs” and another thing he likes about her is “she always remembers everyone's names from her class.” Sydney Truong, also in Mrs. Boram's class, says that she likes Mrs. Takacs’ soothing voice. Everyone has had their share of memories and we will all miss her dearly. We want to make her last memory of Franklin, special.
