The STEAM committee at Franklin Elementary School organizes monthly STEAM Challenges where classes from first grade to sixth grade design, create, and build projects that address issues with direct connections to real-world problems. These activities support the critical thinking and creativity of the students as the challenges are aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards as well as common core standards for math and the arts. This will be the third year implementation of the program. We are glad that each time more classes and students participate. Our commitment is to continue providing the resources and the program to the students and the teachers to promote the importance of STEAM skills.
