Science Night!

Boys and girls, there was a crowded Science Night in the cafeteria on December 1, 2016.  It was a fun learning event for both students and parents.  It was a real science blast! Students learned chemistry and physics along with their parents.  They tried the Fizzy Rocket where the chemical reaction caused the rocket to shoot up in the sky.  They compared the chemical reaction between baking soda and water, or vinegar, lemon juice and orange juice.  They built kaleidoscopes (colors of light), and students made a spectrum bracelet to learn about physics.  Parents were helping their children with the Critter Capsule.  Students also saw very tiny things through the microscopes.  Finally, the free raffle was called and many prizes were awarded to the lucky winners.  Melissa, a 5th grader said, “It is fun and I enjoy it”.  Thanks to Ms. Billings who organized the event, all teachers who volunteered and parents and participants.  We had such a fun night.  I hope to see more students joining the crowd next time.
