Principal’s Message

Watch our weekly All-School Monday Kick-Off Announcements here!

August 1, 2022

It is with great pride that I continue my service as principal at Franklin Elementary School. If we learned anything in the past two years, it’s that our Franklin Patriot community is strong and resilient. I am so thankful to be part of such a passionate and caring school community. Like it says in our mission, Franklin is truly a multicultural learning environment where students’ differences are celebrated and where students are supported academically, socially, and emotionally to achieve success inside and outside of the classroom.

This year we will continue to utilize our Energy Bus for Schools initiative to continue inviting students and families to join the ride as we strengthen our positive school climate and address any socio-emotional needs that may arise. We will continue to strive to be a diverse learning community where students celebrate differences, show empathy toward others, and use growth mindsets to actively solve problems in order to create a more just and evolving world.

I will continue to send out weekly newsletters via our communication platform ParentSquare, as well as posted under the "Communication" tab on our website. We are excited to begin holding our weekly announcements at our whole-school Kick-Offs on Monday mornings at the start of school out on the blacktop (weather permitting). I also welcome each of you to reach out to me via email, phone, or in person, as my door is always open. I want everyone in our Franklin community to be excited to be a part of our family and the best way I can support that is through getting to know you and your families even better.

I encourage you to get involved in your child’s educational experience through the various opportunities such as volunteering, School Site Council meetings, English Language Advisory Committee meetings, joining us for parent workshops and attending our wonderful community events such as our Franklin Family Forums. We look forward to an amazing year with our fabulous Franklin community and are eager to continue showing everyone why we are so darn proud to be Franklin Patriots.

Here’s to another great year as proud Franklin Patriots!
